Me and my girlfriend for two years live together. She has a SUV and I have no car. Between us she is the main user of the car. Whenever I dirve the car to just to go up the street to grab a bite or to the store to get something for her. I pay all of the house bills except for the groceries, for we both pay half for that. The only bill she has is car note, gas, cell, and school expenses. Today she came to me and that I pay half the car note and some money for gas since she and i have to travel about 20 to 30 mins to work. So basically I have to pay 200.00 to 300.00 a month. But i disagreed because we are going to the same place and I dont just drive the car on a regualr basis to pay that much. She has a problem with me taking the car somewhere sayign that she'd rather drop me off.
and she come up with excuses why I should not drive. So should I give her half the car note and help pay gas expenses?

Well I guess being in a relationship you have to make compromises,You love your girlfriend and you guys are willing to do anything to make the relationship work,That's all part of "growing up" and paying bills. But I also was in your situation with my boyfriend he was using his truck for work and he would drop me off at work on his way and pick me up....I paid the truck note as a way of making "compromise", but he never let it go without thanking me or in return buying me something you know like give and take kinda....I don't know I guess it's really how you yourself sees it.What do you think and that's the best advice you can get. You know the situation first hand.Damn well I barley read the last part again, but like I said it's totally up to you.

Pay for the gas = It would cost you to go to work anyhow.
I presume you carry car insurance?
Explain your thinking about house/car. If you are paying 300, then there is a good chance she is paying more. Check it out.

This is a good testing time for your relationship. Money is a big cause of marriage problems - or rather the sharing/using of it.

If you weren't in her car you'd have to be in your own & would be paying for that. See if you can't work something out like 1/3 since she is the primary user of the car, but you do benefit from it too.

If the two of you can't figure out how to manage your expenses together, which is really an amazingly simple thing, then you REALLY shouldn't be living together. Take this as a sign, my friend.

yup, but then ask her for half the house bills since she uses them, simple, you should be paying for half of everything and her for the other half, unless you two figure out how to live together the right way

WELL, IF YOU PAY FOR ALL THE UTILITIES AND HALF THE GROCERIES, THAN NO, I WOULDNT EITHER, HOWEVER I THINK YOU SHOULD HELP OUT A LITTLE ON THE GAS!
NOW, IF YOU DON'T PAY ALL THE UTILITIES THAN YOU SHOULD HELP HER OUT WIT THE CAR NOTE. GOOD LUCK!

Well, I think you can pay some amount of it. May not be half but at least some of it. You can convince her that you will pay ,maybe quarter of it.
