I already quoted that amendment. you fail to realize that that only grants congress the power to create the law . that isnt the law itself .
article I in the constitution also states " To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;" does this mean we should have a draft in order ? no it only gives congress the power to establish it . the constitution in its own scope does not create law only grants powers to those who can .

This question seems to be an attempt to somehow argue that the collection of income tax is unconstitutional. Much though many of us wish this would be so, it quite frankly, is not.

The 16th amendment gives the Federal Government the authority to levy taxes against income. Unfortunately, it gives congress the ability to do so in any way it sees fit.

Congress has repeatedly enacted variations of the Internal Revenue code, which clarifies the authority to collect taxes.

Warning: Failure to pay taxes, when due and collectable, can result in severe civil and criminal penalties
