ive had a problem with the skin on my arms for as long as i can remember, i basiclly have acne on my arms, but sometimes the bumps can turn into lesions. My dermatologist says its puberty, but hasnt told me much to help it in the meantime. i just moved to milwaukee, and i think the change in atmosphere has been making it worse. besides regular lotion, any brand name or home remidies to help stop the bumps from getting really bad?

Cut out dairy foods.

Also try keeping it clean and free from sweat.

And change your bedding and wash your clothes more often.

And after washing twice a day, wipe with witch hazel astringent.

Hope this helps!!

hello friend, I too have had skin problems in the past. Especially around my arms/shoulder area. The solution is a mixture of different things. The foods you eat, good and bad. Exercise, you know getting the body chemistry right. And of course skin treatment. One thing I found was that taking a warm bath once or twice a week helped my pores. If your pores are clogged and you ph balance is out of wack then you body will suffer. Or one more thing if you use the soaking hot bath method, follow up with Alchohol and then cocoa butter on the area.

I believe the technical term is "contact dermatitis". You have a few small bumps on your arm, then you scratch them and the next day you have more, then they start to itch? A primary offender for this is water quality and detergent. If your water source has different additives like chlorine, minerals, sulphur, etc, etc this can cause your detergent to act differently, and irritate the skin. I would recommend seeing a different Dermatologist for a second opinion. There is an EXTREMELY effective topical cream available by prescription (it is steroid based) and "SHOULD" help your condition.

Hope this helps, and good luck!!

wear long sleeves. try some olive oil on your arms, its always beneficial. Every night or eveyr other night, clean your arms with some lemon ( take a lemon half with its juice and kinda scrub at your arms gently in a circular motion), and then use olive oil.
These are some home remedies and they work for almost anything inlvolving skin irritations

It may be Keratosis Pilaris. Search "Keratosis Pilaris" and see if it is.

If it is KP, try AmLactin Lotion with 12% Lactic Acid (a chemical exfoliant). You could find it at most drugstores.

try vitamin e oil, be sure to look on the label and if it says "acetate" anywhere, don't get it because that kind is derived from petroleum and is useless. the natural kind should say "d-alpha tocopherol." regular lotions are loaded with chemicals, synthetic alcohols, and petrochemical products, try discontinuing these altogether and see if it helps.
