I'm having problems setting up my PC to connect to my XBox 360, please help!?

I went to xbox.com/pcsetup, just like the instructions say on the 360, but when I tried to download the file, I just got a little screen like it was trying to start up an installation, but it never actually booted an install. I tried downloading it directly off of the website and I also tried saving the file to my computer and neither one gives me a setup screen. I want to know if I did something wrong, or if I need to do something I haven't already done to get the install to boot? Thanks.
