I don't have one, but have been contemplating getting one for over a year now.....until today when I heard that.

Funny! And it will be funnier in about 50 years when the young people of today hit the nursing homes with things like EVIL and HOTTIE tattooed all over their fronts, necks, and backs. The doctors and the nurses will laugh, I'm afraid, at all the sagging, tattooed skin.

Trash stamp, yeah I have heard this and in some cases the label definitely fits - but most girls have it done cause it looks pretty cool - most men definitely like it, though I wonder how many professional men, doctors, lawyers, etc, actually marry a girl with one? If I were you, I'd just use temporary tatoos - that way you can still look interesting but also get to change it from time to time to suit your fancy. Forget the 'trash stamp' thing and have a little fun - just don't make it permanent.

ive heard California Licence Plate and Tramp Stamp. I have a lower back tattoo myself, but id hardy call it either, its the four Beatles looking out the portholes of the Yellow Submarine. I think tramp stamps are ussually the tribal tattoos with a butterfly or something "cute" in them.

honey, keep on contemplating!! those things are permanent, that means for the rest of your life. When you have grandchildren they will ask you what is that thing on your back granny? It is a mark of a wild girl, no matter where you get it put. I wish you would just rethink it and then if you just have to have a tatoo get a fake one and wear it when you go out and then it can always be washed off. that is the smart thing to do.
people spend millions of dollars each year to remove marks from their skins that are from birth defects, and you voluntarily want to mark yours up. don't do it.

tramp stamp sounds about right

According to the AST Sports Science web site, recent research indicates that tattoos may damage muscle tissue. Tattoos can also interfere with MRI Scans. Finally, read what The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences has to say about tattoos.

I haven't heard it put quite that way before, but I'm pretty sure that's what a lot of guys think about it. Personally, the look doesn't do anything for me at all. And it would be with you for a long, long time.

Just don't get a butterfly, or flower if you're not that sure....they used to brand whores with those signs, and some people still take it that way, as sad as it sounds...unless you simply dont care what other people think.

ALL tattoos are "tramp stamps" regardless of where you put them. Why put tattoos on your body? Why de-face a perectly good body? Most people that do it when young deeply regret it later in life. To remove them is VERY expensive and painful. Why not keep a clean body that you can be proud of. A tatooed body is definately not pretty. It is more like a "sight to see". Last, but not least.......tatoos belong on people in freak shows. Pops

Many do.
I was surprised to read that even Janet Jackson had regretted her tatoo in writing on one of her album covers.

Tatoos are ALWAYS a bit skanky.
They are fun and sexy, but can close doors.

They affect friends and lovers, and people still are fired or not promoted in jobs.

I find them very sexy if you have the body to carry it! Get a tattoo where ever you want! Screw all those who think where you get them defines who you are! Just do your self a favor and make sure you can hide it where ever it is... Depending on where your life takes you you may want to later in life...
