First, does he want help? If he does, then stand by him, and help him through it. Like any other addiction, he needs to address it, and go through the steps. But if he can't admit that he has a problem, and he doesn't want help, RUN do not walk to the nearest exit! He will not change, and he will drag you down with him. Trust me, there will be better down the road.

You can't help him unless he wants help. Even if he does stop gambling he will always have the tendency there to start again. I think if it's not that serious of a relationship you should just break it off.

Ask yourself why you would marry someone who gambled and didn't want too. Do you think you won't find any one who will want you? You will never change him so you will have to change...be strong and leave him. From now on never date a man who has a character flaw you don't like, it will save you lots of pain latter on.

i won't take bets on him quiting right away.if you ready to have a relationship with someone who may not be able to take you any where or do anything with because of his habit get ready for a up and down romance.plus the day may come when he'll try to get into your pocket the question is are you ready for that

Dear, you will never be able to change him unless he feels the need to change......We as women cannot save anyone but ourselves, and we need to realize that no matter how hard we try to "help" our mate get over a problem, we can't do anything unless they admit to themselves that they have the problem and want to do something about it......Take care, dear.......
