Why do men act like little boys? I mean why do they get all excited when going down the toy isle when shopping for a nephew or for their son.When you know darn well they can't wait to play with the toy their self. Or when they want to take the kids to the park,you go with and sit there the whole time with the little one while he is jumping and running all around with the other kids and having a good time. =) Do any of you do this???? if so why???

I play with my kids all the time (2yo and 4yo, both girls) - I get down to their level and play with their toys with them, I act silly sometimes (they LOVE it) and run around and dance, swing them around and just have fun in their world whenever I get a chance. It's fun! That's how we BOND with our kids (and let go of that corporate world stuff-shirt attitude that I HATE dealing with all day as a database programmer) so our kids will have a close relationship with us when they're teens. I act more like a kid than my wife does, and I don't have to raise my voice as much to get them to listen, play nice, put their toys away or go to bed. (My wife doesn't quite understand, though I've explained it to her over and again) - I'm a Toys R Us Kid!! Then I go to work, pay the bills and have to be all responsible and stuff - YAY!!!
Don't misunderstand though - I also spend a lot of serious time, especially with my 4yo, reading and talking together. We talk about anything and everything that could be considered appropriate for a kid her age to understand - police officers and their jobs, the importance of reading, why smoking is bad for your health, how people earn money to pay for things, why Uncle Hector is in jail AGAIN (don't steal candy bars from the checkout lane, kids), why we have to keep putting gas in the car - the list goes on. Point is, there's a time to be all GRIM and SERIOUS, and there's a time when big kids just have to act like kids! SECRET:: kids learn at an advanced rate when they get to have regular bouts of fun with their parents - and they will share more of their personal lives with them when they're 13 and older...
(shhh, its a secret - pass it on!....)

My ex gf said the same thing...once we went 2 get her neice a present at this HUGE toy shop. They were both waiting for me when they finished and i was still doing laps around the shop. I dont know why, its not like i would buy toys to play with but i just kinda wanted 2 c whats out now and what cool these days. She was like u r a LOSER but i was loving it. Ur right though its a lil weird

why do girls act like little girls when shopping? why do large single girls get excited about buying underwear that nobody's going to see? So what if your guy is a kid inside? Support that. You've got problems of your own. I'd start worrying if he beats you or drinks or takes your money. Sister, if these are the worst of your problems and you're still unhappy, what makes you think that you are ever going to be?

I am a serious and mature male but deep inside is this little boy that will never grow up and you know why? Because I don't want to grow up and I love kids and I am a fun loving guy that enjoys life and people. I love getting in the floor with my great nephew and wrestling with him and having tea with my 3 year old great niece. To me it's one of life's treasures. My Dad played with his Grandkids and treated them all so good and gave them attention up in his 80's! A lot of people need to learn this valuable life lesson. Pay your bills but don't forget to love and laugh.

Why would you quesiton that it is obv not harming anyone. and its seem to be good for the kids
and technically guys mature slower as in when they are 25 and girls when they are 17.
But look at it this way when are u mature when u are having fun, to enjoy time withthe kids u need to be at their level and enjoy what they enjoy itll connect u more
and dont even ask me how i know this stuff i am only 20 but trust me iknow

I guess it is because we are very slow to mature, I know a lot of grown men still buying hot wheels for their"collections"
I loved when my sons were young it was like having another childhood,and I will do it again for grandchildren should I live so long.

Well I like your question, I wish to give a long answer to your question , but unfortunately im busy in my work. How ever people do those stuff. It is very important to build healthy family life . only thing is you have to understand it . if you do it will help you to live joy full life.
