Why does one spray of a Man's cologne stay all day........and 10 sprays of a women's perfume last 1 hour? Why can't " the man" stop cheating us and make a perfume that lasts all day?

women wear eau de teaulette_EDT while guys have actual strong cologne that they deal with. if women used the pure parfums and not the EDT then their parfums would last longer. plus it depends on what perfums you buy-mine lasts as long as my bf's but i spend a good amt. pf money per perfume! the pure parfum is really expensive but will last you longer than most EDT's!

Real perfume DOES last all day. We just get used to the scent, so we stop noticing it. Ask a friend at the end of the day if they can still smell your perfume. If they can't, then try a purer form of the same scent. Eau de toilet and colognes wear off easier than real perfume.

when my husband sprays on his cologne, it lingers on his clothes and closet for days! my perfume will last, but not with the intensity of my husbands cologne. he has cheap cologne and expensive cologne. they all last a long time. for women, we have to buy "perfume" if you want the intensity of the smell to last. it's strange.

I think the real question should be why are men's colognes so overpowering. I would love to see a happy medium. Tone the male fragrances down, while giving the ladies a bit more staying power.

men's cologne is just cheaper, buy cheaper women perfume :-)

Cologne is mostly alcohol and perfume is mostly oil...I think it depends on your skin type as to the lasting power. I think they make mens more powerful is so it will be sweat-proof? I dunno.
