Normally, if a young woman is pregnant she won't have a period. There are times when it can seem as if the period comes when it was supposed to, but its usually lighter than a "regular" period; although sometimes it isn't. Generally, though, being pregnant means no "regular looking" period.

Spotting is said to be a sign of pregnancy when it comes instead of a period. There can also be a little spotting for various reasons during any pregnancy. It can also, however, be a sign that the pregnancy is in trouble. Most girls/women don't have spotting when they're not pregnant; so for one reason or another it is associated with pregnancy.

Girls/women pretty much know what they're usual period is - how long, how much, etc. If the usual period doesn't show up that's a sign of pregnancy. Most of the time nothing whatsoever shows up at the time the period should be arriving.

there is a difference between having your period and spotting. also, spotting is not a "symptom" of pregnancy. a small percentage of women might spot. spotting can be implantation bleeding. or spotting can be a warning sign to something more serious---like a miscarriage. and some women have had their periods and find out later they were pregnant--usually report taht their period was lighter than normal, scant, not as heavy...etc. but for the most part--if you get your period every month, you are not pregnant.

When I was once a teen, I used to get my menstrual cycle each two weeks, and it might final for two weeks. I wasn't sexually lively til I was once 20, so I knew I wasn't pregnant, however a few humans have irregular durations. In my opinion, she would not get a interval if she had been pregnant. Some females do, however now not the bulk. If you're involved, get a being pregnant scan.

Implantation spotting can (not always) occur in women once the egg implants into the uterine wall. Sometimes, when the egg snuggles in, it can cause light bleeding. This implatation bleeding is very light, nothing like a normal period, but it sometimes happens around the time a period starts. Hope that Helps!

You can still be pregnant on your period, but it's not quite as common. All women are different. Usually when a girl has her period that means she is not pregnant.

After I was once an adolescent, I used to get my menstrual cycle each 2 weeks, and it would last for 2 weeks. I wasn't sexually energetic til I used to be 20, so I knew I wasn't pregnant, but some individuals have irregular periods. Personally, she would not get a period if she have been pregnant. Some ladies do, however not the majority. If you are worried, get a pregnancy scan.
