becasue they arent the same spot. The goat was fed inside the cage. but when the t-rex crushes the car, its after he gets through the electric fence that has been shut down, I'm pretty sure.

But, if i am wrong, the scene with the car that t-rex was a pupped, and they kept having trouble with it in the rain. so they did the take and if it was in the wrong spot, so be it. 99.9% of people wouldnt notice.

the people were on a tour. and from underground the goat came up and was placed so the "tourist" type people could see there artificial T-rex. then everything went wrong and the car went off the cliff which was on the other side of the street.
great movie.

That was a conscious decision made by Steven Spielberg. To get the best effect from the scene he had to just let that detail go. Most people don't even notice it even if they have seen it a whole bunch of times. I wouldn't let it bother you though some times you just have to sit back and let yourself be entertained.

the car is off to the side of where the goat was. watched it tonight on AMC, then again on VHS home tape and both versions say the same thing. there's a bridge they cross near the goat, whether b4 or after, but it's really there. don't look too much into details of such fantastic stories. it'll ruin your sense of fantasy and adventure. if you must, then welcome to the neverending world of perfection and reality and YOU HAVE MY SYMPATHY!!!

Because they didnt pay attention to minor details while filming that movie! How old is it now? Movies are getting better on details but back then they sucked!
