I have a laptop and the sound isnt working, it says the audio and video devices arnt installed and i dont know how to get the manufactures to get the drivers. any ideas?

audio and video are usually internal in laptops.
You might want to consult a computer technician, I often track down drivers for devices. If the laptop is a well known brand, it is often easy.

Laptops have built in audio and video cards.. how would a video card be external on a laptop?
If you had told us more about your laptop, we could give you a lot more help. Brand, Model, etc..

whos your manufacturer? most/all laptops have sound, but need drivers to work
try driversguide dot com ,not sure of the spelling (corrections anyone?) their regestration is free and they have a lot o drivers.

my laptop has sound i can play some games bit not all my chipset is not compatiable with games like vampire bloodlines but you can get oned that are. so check out what you need your computer to do then compare the laptops

Yes they are built in,try this go to the driver right click and upgrade driver,
