Are Nuns evil?

Haven't you ever seen Sister Act with Whoopee Goldberg? Seriously, nuns are people, but generally good people in my experience. I went to parochial school for 12 years... and survived. They were outstanding teachers and had a strict moral code. There are some nuns working in a nursing home here. They are absolute sweethearts and great cooks. They also help with some of our afterschool programs as volunteers.

Ummm, Mother Theresa was a nun. A very giving and kind soul. Does that answer your question? Of course not all nuns are like her and yes you will find some that are/were very strict but would not say evil.

No, I've never seen a evil nun.

Why? Because you went to a religious school and made to do your homework? It's too bad that they don't have nuns in public schools teaching. They know how to maintain strict disipline in a classroom.

If they are evil would not have hit the home-run with our creator's universal pot of golds glittering at the end of the rainbow on planet earth.
Ask Mulder and Scully what were they searching for in Africa in the X-Files.
While Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark were still at loss digging up graveyards sweating it out under the hot sun in the desert of the middle-east.
Came up with more skeletons of skulls and bones piling up like the pyramids and came back with more ghost stories on planet earth.
Who were at loss with our creator's universal gifts of life vital for their own survival when those nuns were giving it away for free on planet earth.

Not any more as there are not as many and their average age is almost 60, and I am serious. Also most who are in teaching are there because they want to be and they are subject to the same laws concerning abuse as other people. I would say it would be fair to assume that the same percentage of meanness in the nun world is probably the same as in the non-nun world. Nuns don't hit anyone anymore. Tose that do get the boot.

I take it you're joking. Whether or not you agree with the tenets of Catholicism, nuns give their whole lives to helping others. True altruism is not evil by any stretch of the imagination.

Well....let's look at it like this: If you NEVER had sex with a guy, and swore an vow to be "married" to Christ--meaning living your ENTIRE life single and NO SEX, living a nun's lifestyle......wouldn't you be a tad cranky towards others at times?????
