I think they tend to overeat. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the real person is hiding buried under several layers of fat. Also, by becoming overweight they hope to stop calling unwanted attention to themselves.

Yes,it is very likely,being sexually abused is very hard and traumatic to deal with.Multiple personality disorder is also likely.I know from experience.
