life is short and for me, all of us should have purposes in life in order for it not to be absurd!

so, are you wasting your life?

Yes to the two first questions, but no to the third.

Absurdity is in the eye of the beholder, and I can imagine a viewpoint exists that would consider how I live my life to be absurd, even if I don't. I couldn't really prove this hypothetical viewpoint wrong, so in a sense, it's right.

To live on in the memory of my survivors is the only real chance I have at immortality. Legends allow the heroes of our past to live, and it seems they're mostly still alive today in some forms. Similarly, the actions we have today have impacts extremely far-removed from our lives, so we all leave our indelible mark on society. As long as there are people to appreciate the signs we left, we will all be remembered, so we should cherish people.

I don't believe there can be such a thing as a wasted life. Purpose is unnessecary to have a life. As I said above, an alternative viewpoint exists on every topic; one could argue that having a purpose that can never be satisfactorily achieved is wasteful, so a purposeless life is the best. Furthermore, what someone does when not compelled to action is always what's most in line with what he or she wants, and whatever satisfies those wants helps him or her be happier. Purpose is only a small part of what makes one happy, so there are substitutes available for a purpose. Happiness is the only good goal of living.

I don't think anyone life is absurd.

At times I wish I could get a big spot in history so because it is the only way you can live on after death. Sam Walton is still living on because he created Wal-Mart. He will be remembered for years and years to come. He changed how business is done and has made himself immortal.

However it really don't matter because we will all be dead an will know nothing of anything anymore. And if you think about it in the really long run our sun will burn out and our planet will be burnt to a crisp and the let go adrift. Then will freeze and nothing of the great humans will be left. This will happen to all stars one day and there will be no one to remember us at all. No one to find any of our space crafts floating in space. Nothing left at all.

Then all matter will smash back together and will make a new big bang and it will all start again new.

Humm how many times has this happened. ?

But so in the end who cares and what does it matter if no one is there to say hey their lifes was absurd.. Live your life and don't worry about what anyone thinks. Just be happy.. This is all you get.

It's wonderful getting to think about how absurd your life is, even though that's absurd. But being absurd is living in itself, its part of everything. Yeah, I wanna be remembered as the person who answered this question and through it, made a difference in your world. then maybe my life won't be a waste after all...

Being remembered is nice but not important.

I know what I've done in my life. Some good, some bad. But whatever I've done has influenced something or someone in some way.

Life itself is absurd because we are all different.

Be yourself. Try not to be bad.

I don't think we can avoid absurdity. I couldn't care less if anyone remembers me after I die. I will be dead then.
