no they arent always accurate, when I got the weight of both my children through an ultrasound they were both wrong or no where near... I was humongous with my second son, and the doctor told me he was around eight and a half pounds and the ultrasound said seven pounds... I had gestational diabetes while pregnant and I knew that they were wrong because I looked like I was carrying twins and felt so heavy, anyway long story short... they didnt take the baby early , they wanted me to wait two weeks. I went one week over and ended up not being able to have him naturally because he was 9 pounds and 14.2 ounces...
an ultrasounds only an estimate, they are normally within a pound of the actual weight...

An ultrasound is only a means that physicians use to diagnose and identify certain ailments, diseases, conditions ect. The ultrasound itself usually isn't wrong, but the doctor's inturpretation of what it shows could be. Get a second opinion. Also, ask your doctor for a copy of the ultrasound results and the video tape made during the proceedure. It may help another physician to determine if your doctor was correct. This will also help you, if in case, you need to file a lawsuit against any participating doctor in the future.

That depends on what you are asking. The adjusted due date? The sex? The sex is USUALLY accurate. I know there are more mistakes saying its a girl when its really a boy. Sometimes the umbilical cord gets in the way and they think its a penis. You have to get a good shot of it to tell. My son was obvious he was a he. They say for girls the US is more accurate closer to 20 weeks, but my son we could tell at 15 weeks.

No not always depends on what it is for like i had one early and they told me it was a boy then i went back in and it was a girl lol. But as far as weight and weeks they where pretty much right on.

Are u asking about the sex of your baby? Then no they are not 100% right...they usually tell you that when they tell you what they think the sex is. If you are talking about your due date..then yeah they are pretty accurate.

Its most accurate in the first trimester. i am talking about the due date. if you are talking about the sex of the baby, not too sure because a boy could always be hiding his bits.

No not always, mistakes have been made.......depending on the age and position of the baby, sometimes it's just a good guess.

It depends on the ability of the technician who reads them. Mine were both right, but I couldn't tell much from them.
