Supergroup smackdown pits two Paul Rodgers projects against each other. Perhaps the closest match-up in this entire "tournament."

Bad Company (1973) -
Paul Rodgers (Free) Simon Kirke (Free) Mick Ralphs (Mott The Hoople) Boz Burrell (King Crimson)

Bad Company was made up of four seasoned musicians: two former members of Free, singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke; former Mott The Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs; and King Crimson's bassist Boz Burrell, all managed by Peter Grant who also managed Led Zeppelin.

vs.

The Firm (1984) -
Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company) Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) Tony Franklin (Roy Harper) Chris Slade (Uriah Heep)

The Firm was made up of four seasoned musicians: Paul Rodgers of Free, Tony Franklin (bass player for Tony Franklin), Chris Slade of Uriah Heep, an Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin.

I like them both, but I will have to say Bad Co.
Jimmie Page is still the best guitar player ever, tho!

It's close, no doubt.

I go with Bad Company, based on the larger body of work.
