I took at pregnancy test Thursday and it was positive! Then when i got up this morning my period had started , is there a chance I am still pregnant or was it a false positive? This will be my 4th child! We have been TTC since April '06

Plus my period was 6 days late before it started this morning, its not spotting it is bleeding.

Yes, Yes! You can still have your period if you are pregnant..It is not common though. If the test said +...most likely you are pregnant, but I would make an appointment with the ob/gyn for a blood test to be absolutely sure. Good Luck!!

The pregnancy test could have been false positive. But I would see your doctor just to make sure you didn't have an early miscarriage. I went through the same thing a couple of years ago. And didn't think much of it until my period kept up for over 10 days. I ended up needing a D&C

You need to go to your doctor and get hcg levels tested you can have a period when pregnant but rare you might be miscarrying go into the er or the doctor right away to make sure everything is OK. Its rare to have a false positive. Best of luck

Take another test...I tested negative, had a period..but still was getting morning sickness.. I was 3 months pregnant when I went to the gyno..My little girl is 9 now everything is fine ..So ya just never know

Sounds like you may be. You said you started your period, you need to decide if it is spotting or real bleeding. SO time to go to the doctor.

Go to your dr. It detected the HCG homrone somehow and if you have been trying for five months to get preggo I am not sure what kidn of health problems you have so maybe you need to be checked. not to scare you but something could be wrong, something that yahoo users have no clue about.

yes you can still be preagnaet and have a period but if you have cramps and have lower pain you need to go to the doctor and see if you are having a miss carriage and make sure you and the baby is fine.

You should be going to your doctor hun. YES you can be still preg. yet there COULD be something wrong. Is this period like A normal on because you can STILL have one and be preg. usually with home test it is VERY rare for them to show positive if you are not. BEST WISHES and CONGRATS

It could Just be that your body decided to go ahead with your cycle anyway. I think you should go see your doctor asap. But it Just may have been a flase Positive, But you are better safe than sorry

Some people will have their period even when they are pregnant.Like my friend,she was pregnant for 1 month but she have her period.Well,she's also worry about it and she went to see a doctor.
