Unsolited email from people that you don't know. In most cases, you don't want it. Sometimes, and advertisement. Other times, to pass on some spyware or virus or other useless hoax.
In general, don't look. For gosh sakes, don't buy. Don't make that form of advertising profitable. Even a handful of SUCKERS can encourage them.
This is the scourge of the internet. Most people can tolerate a few. But when they start getting HUNDREDS, it really starts to suck.
If you use Yahoo, use the REPORT SPAM button on evey bogus email.

Spam= an unwanted email, usually of a commercial product..
Spam= a canned meat, mostly made of pork..

or it can be just junk answers, typing in chat, etc...
