My father are like this ,foreign slaves?

My father is a Chinese citizen.
He always say foreign people are more civilized than chinese,foreign goods are much better than china.
He has never been abroad ,but from his words it seems that he has been abroad for many times.
In my family there is a computer.
He can't operate computer,but he likes to "research"computer history.
For example,when was the first computer invented?
what the four genernations of computer history?
My God,you can't even know what is computer,what the use of "researching "computer?
He always looks at the computer with appreciation and says:the CPU is made in US,great Americans!
Why chinese are so stupid?
I want to say:sure,US is a developed nation,more advanced than China.
But I want to let him know:You are not a dog of Americans,
You are a person.
whether the internationls and Chinese are all equal.

I always thought the first computer was Chinese - the abacus.

A European version - Napiers Bones was invented in the 17th century & we went from there, progressing to mechaincail adding machines, etc.

China has a great deal of people living in limited space so, they have to do things a little differently.Our cultures are not the same but China has a great respect and history of culture.Our governments do things differently but this does not make one group of people better than the other.The Chinese are responsible for some pretty amazing things and have produced great minds just like Americans.People are people and one will find both good and bad in any one given race.As far as him being afraid of using the computer, tell him not to be embarrassed and not to let such a trivial thing keep him from accessing a wealth of information and new wonders.

Every culture is important in its own right and direct comparison in terms of perceived "value" is fraught with problems. Its like comparing apples and oranges - too different and no one is "better".

I am an Australian and it is not right to say that modern Australian "white" culture is better or worse than Aboriginal culture. It depends on how it is measured and it is not possible to measure such different cultures. The fact is Aboriginal people managed the environment better than we currently are, but hey, we invented plastic bags - apples and oranges!
