Of couse people disagree with him but that is why there is editing. We don't watch the whole show we just get to watch parts of it. That is where the editing comes in. ;)

Sometimes but most of the time I think it is pretty common sense and I agree with him. There was one show that he did about this chick that was a shop-aholic and she spent all of her bf’s money, so that he couldn’t afford to buy her an engagement ring – and she was the biggest spoiled brat, ungrateful little beotch that you ever seen. Anyways, Dr. Phil had her on the show and told her that if she stopped all her shopping habits that he would buy her a ring and he did. That is wrong! All she was getting was MORE spoiled and that show P I S S E D me off! How can you fix a problem that some one has involving being spoiled by spoiling them some more? How does bribing become psychology?

Here is an example of the cases he has to deal with:

"Dr.Phil, Dr. Phil, I have a problem; everytime I put on pantyhose, I make wholes in it , what should I do!!!!?

"Well Miss, take a nailfile and fix your nails, the problem should go away"...

Dr. Phil? Wrong? NO ... please, tell me it isn't so. It's impossible. Dr. Phil knows everything, and there's no way he could ever be wrong about anything! He's Dr. Phil, and you can always trust anyone who uses the title "Dr." with a first name! He's even got Oprah's endorsement, and Oprah's the perfect culmination of human existence!

The very thought is making my whole worldview crumble. I just can't handle it.

I doubt that Dr. Phil is always right, but I must say he knows much more about his guest's problems than the viewers do.

I also agree with most of the general principles that he puts forth.

I especially likes that he encourages his guests to get therapy when they get home. As a cognitive behavioral therapy success story, I feel that one thing will change people's lives.

I've heard Dr. Phil saying something like "Love ain't like the pizza man - going door to door"... Well, I don't know of any pizza men that go door to door. Only if they're lost, I guess...

Yes. He thinks he can solve everyone else's problems. I guess he'd like to be as cool and powerful as Oprah Winfrey, but he can't. He's a frustrated man. He should give himself some advice.
