It sure must be annoying to those people that would join this protest that one of the best known symbols of the USA, the Statue of Liberty, is a gift from the French. It must also bother them that the French helped us win in the American Revolution and were our allies during WWI and WWII, and helped us to win via the "underground" where lives were risked (and lost) thus helping us win the war. Or they must really be bothered by the annoying fact that the Pasteur Institute in Paris has helped to advance medicine and medical knowledge that Americans use everyday. Join this protest? More like laugh at their ignorance, except it isn't funny.
