There had to some requirements for the job. When you think about it 35 as a minimum age is remarkably young for that job.
The really important things are the absence of a religion test and the fact that all Presidents must be born here - thereby hopefully eliminating a conflict of true allegiance.
Those minimal qualifications allow almost anyone regardless of where they began life to become President

That's the way they wanted it. I guess they wanted to make sure that the leader of the country was old enough to know what was best for the country. Seriously, how would a 21 year old have a clue??? So, they made it 35. They put it in there so that there would be no questions about it later.

Because we don't need or want Arnold Schwarzenegger to become president, even if the Kennedys ( he married one of them) are pushing to abolish the Constitution.
Our forefathers foresaw this possibility.
