My Toyota Sienna is by far the nicest car I have ever owned, so I call it Ben, because it's as close to a Bentley as I will ever own.

My daughter bought in 1992 when she left home a Saturn which just last month was donated to a Bible School near here. She had an alarm put on it, and when someone even walked close, that alarm detected it, and made squawking noises, which is less than a full alarm.

I joked that any car that could holler for it's mommy when a stranger got close needed a name, so I stared calling it Ralph. After a few days, to her horror, everyone else also started calling him Ralph. So, she finally accepted that name.

Last week, we were talking about how good Ralph had been to her. He never once in 14 years stranded her, and except for maintenance, such as tires and stuff like that, he only needed two alternators and two batteries in 14 years.

I sort of apologized for giving him that name, Ralph, because I thought she hated that name. She admitted she did, at first, but later found it really convenient. She said if some guy tried to pick her up, she would simply smile at him, and tell him "Ralph is waiting for me in the parking lot," and they all left her alone. hee, hee.

Then, she joked she was sure none of those guys would want to run into Ralph in a dark alley...

My first car was Ethel because it was an old lady car, but hey I was 16 I didn't care. Now I have a Chevy Blazer that's been named The Vomit Comet because of the heavy duty suspension. It's a rough ride for passagers, but I love it. LOL.

I named mine Jacks. I think it is a girl, it acts that way. So Jacks short for Jacqueline. It like a redish orange color so it made me think of cracker jacks and that is where the name originated from.
