Take him aside and gently tell him...
"I've noticed that you have a lot of bruises and cuts on your arm...If you ever need a friend to talk to I'm here for you...just between us...okay."
Then let it rest. You extended your hand...he knows it exists. It may take him a few days to come forth, so don't push it.
He is probably in denial and it is important for him to be empowered for his survival. Giving him the opportunity to ask you for help is providing him this.
If he does talk about it assure him that he's done no wrong and support him to contact authorities. If a week or more goes by and he still has not brought it up again then you should call Child Protective Services. But first give him the chance to do it himself.
You have a lucky friend there!

You should continue to be there for your friend and make sure to let him know that you are there for him as much as possible. This is a situation that unfortunately you may not be able to handle for him. However, you have to help him get the help that he needs to stop the abuse. Perhaps you should talk to someone, ie. Priest/Reverend, your parent(s), ask them what you should do to help your friend. Understand that anything that he does or says is a cry for help not a personal attack against you. You may have to just come right out and ask him what is going on. If he is being abused and he confides in you, talk him into going to the police right away. Reassure him that he doesn't deserve what ever is being done to him. Lastly, Pray for him, like you have never prayed for anyone or anything in your life. God is good and he does answer ALL prayers.
I will pray for your friend to get through this terror. And I will pray for you as well. Stay strong in the comfort that God sits high and sees low.
God Bless!

What state do you live in, and are you in the same school? He may not want to tell you, but I think either YOU should call Child Protective Services, the Rape Crisis Center, or the police (you can usually do this anonymously), or have the school nurse do so. This should not go on without being investigated and stopped! It is not the kid's fault, and it can really warp you to go through any abuse!

Just talk to him about it. Tell him how concerned you are and maybe he will open up to you. If he doesn't and you are still worried then call Child Protective Services or the police and tell them what is going on. He will probably be mad at first but he will thank you later!!!!!!!!!! Don't let this happen to your friend because if something serious happens to him you will blame yourself for not helping him in the first place.

This story is sad but some times true there are some ****** up people in this world . I don't think it is a black child, because as a mother who watch their children I teach them the ill of society and how to fight and what's right and wrong, if he is being abuse then ask him then determine ?if he needs help or not. their is enough experiences in life to tell if it's right or wrong .

First of all you need to talk to your friend. Let him know that you are there for him no matter what. And keep telling him that it is not his fault. But tell him that if he doesn't go and talk to someone himself then you are going to call the child welfare department or tell the nurse at the school. With the cuts and bruise it is her job to report it or she can tell you who to report it too......JUST REMEMBER HE IS GOING TO NEED YOU MORE NOW THEN EVER. I prayers are with your friend.

Talk to someone you trust @ school. This is going to be a long process and he may even feel as if he hates you, or your not his true friend. However he will thank you in the long run. If you are a true friend you will talk to someone, This is a very serious situation.

Talk to your parents, teacher, principal, counselor, doctor, all of which are trained in this area and are mandated reporters. Do talk to someone, if he is already in foster care you can call social services. Even if he doesn't admit it if he is being abused he wants help!

talk to a crisis counselor first-no names need be mentioned unless you are comfortable and assured by them.they can direct you and aid the boy.For you to confront the boy yourself will leave him feeling awkward with you and he will back away-not wanting you to know.let the authorities handle it.they will not say it came from you and you can remain friends. But DO contact someone-possibly child welfare-he needs protection.Repeat-do not confront on your own-get help

Monette, how old is your friend? Something untoward is definitely going on. Contact the child welfare authorities and the police.
