Yeah maybe he quit but maybe all the rapist remarks, and calling him a ball hog when there is no reason why shouldn't be scoring 35.4 started to wear him down! Hey did you think maybe he's a better scorer than Magic and Bird but they passed a little better. Give the guy a break! No one is perfect. Not even Jordan was the best shooter! Kobe runs the NBA.

thank you man. its the unconditional love from fans like you that me going, keep me wanting to shoot the ball even more despite fatigue.
lemme tell you sumthing. there were many nights in the nba season where i was really dead tired from all the ballhogging, and the game was not yet over. it was just going to crunch time, i doubted if i could continue my hot shooting. then i started thinking about my millions of obssessed fans, fans that loved me despite my shortcomings, fans like you. its you guys that keep the fire burning inside me and and make me dig deeper and exert every ounce of energy to shoot at crunchtime and not pass to my pathetic teammates. you guys make me want to win every scoring title every year. i am so proud of myself for having such passionate fans. i am very appreciative. for that, i guarantee you i will win every scoring title each year. no one will stop me, not iverson, not phil jackson's triangle, not my begging teammates, and defenitely not those haters(i bet hunderds of guys are cheating on their wives right now. why single me out?).
so to my fans, continue to worship me. continue to fight those stupid haters for they know nothing about basketball. i have already won 3 rings, so its a waste of time searching for another. i have won only 1 scoring title. that is definitely my ultimate goal, to win as many scoring titles as i can. i can't wait for the season to start, cuz its ballhoggin' time!

Great, another idiot playing the race card. So, Kobe's wife is hot, huh? Then why did he cheat on her with another woman in Colorado, possibly raping her, and getting away with it? He's just a cheating, raping scumbag who got off because he's a rich pro athlete.
He also is a whiny, selfish baby. He wanted to show that the Lakers are his team. He can score all the points he wants, but they'll never win with him as the focal point of the offense. Players like Jordan, Magic, and Bird made people around them better. Kobe wants the ball and sulks when thing don't go his way. Look how he quit in game 7 against Phoenix, shooting twice in the second half. He QUIT on his team. No one in their right mind would want him on the US team. HE's a scorer, that's it. He's not the team player, the great all-around player that Dwayne Wade is or LeBron is becoming.
You even said "if he gets help" he will win a ring? If you think he's so great, why can't he carry the team on his back? Shouldn't he be able to win it all by himself if he's as great as you say he is? He can't make people better like MJ could, face it.

Kobe didn't rape that ***** and yeah he did score 81.....but runs the NBA? Like...runs it? Wouldn't the Lakers have a little bit better of a record if kobe was really "running" ****? Get real. Nobody can deny he's good but he isn't running anything. And America wouldn't have even gotten the bronze if Kobe was there.....the rest of the world has an answer to all of america's talent, and it's team basketball. People are always gonna hate on the greats!! Lets not even get started on the rape thing. What girl that honestly gets raped going except money and shut her mouth after that magnitude violation and injustice has been done to her. She's a liar and technically a thief as well. Now on to the real subject.Kobe is the best basketball player in the NBA hands down even if you hate him the truth will always be the truth whether you want to believe it or not. Shaq has even been quoted saying that Kobe is the best player in the NBA. He is a threat from ANY location on the court. And watch this season, we have seen that his teammate's have it in them to play, with Kobe and Phil as their leaders....well let the hatin' proceed!!

The major reason why Kobe isn't well-loved is that he's seen as aloof, selfish, and phony. He's also seen as trying to be like Micheal Jordan. The thing is, Kobe adopted the attitude Jordan had, but he doesn't have the likability factor that MJ has. During his early playing days, MJ had a rep as a ball hog. MJ also ran off teammates and instigated unnecessary conflicts with them in order to "toughen them up" throughout his entire career. MJ gets a pass for prettying up bullshit. Kobe does the same, but gets hated on. It's never right, but then again, so is excusing one party and getting on another for the same thing. Kobe & MJ have work ethics that enabled them to work at acheiving the success that they got. Iverson and Shaq, for instance don't work on their games that hard, and both are injury-prone players. True, Shaq has 4 rings, but he couldn't win them solo in his prime and nowadays, he damn sure can't even come close anymore. He gets the ball even less in Miami than he did in Los Angeles. Iverson gets a pass for his selfishness, and he's worse than Kobe. I think Kobe may try to pattern himself too much like MJ in the sense that he talks like him and doesn't seem to have much of an identity of his own. Kobe has his faults, but if he didn't take the road he took, we would've never heard of him

Kobe's definitely getting a bum rap. For what it's worth, restatement of the facts: Kobe has 3 championship rings, Phil Jackson came back to coach Kobe, Kobe was the first pick of USA Basketball honcho Jerry Colangelo. People who know basketball would know to draw the correct conclusions on questions of Kobe's ability and desirability as a team player.
