and put them on my own pretend site off a still alive gangster he's publicst has been in contact, to tell me the gangster is being threatened with being sued for use of these pics(of himself)!Is it that serious for the Ex-villain legally? cos I know the likely outcome for me!!(can he find me?)

You could be breaching someone intellectual property i.e. copyrights and the like.
If you are being threatened then go to the Police.

It could be, you are into the realms of intelectual property if these pictures are owned by someone else and you have published them without permission of the owner.
As for the threats, if you are being threatened with violence then report it to the police. It is your only option.
