My musical tastes go beyond the usual Canada-USA-UK fare played on most North American stations. About five years ago I discovered German pop music. Here are my top five:

Even though my German is only at an intermediate level at this point and I can only understand bits and pieces of the lyrics unless I take the time to translate them, whatever I don't understand yet I can treat as an instrumental.

Music is subjective. What's good to me is not necessarily what's good to you. What kind of music moves you? Do you cry at a really beautiful Bach piece? Does Weird Al make you laugh?
One excellent option is to subscribe to Rhapsody. For a nominal amount every month, you can listen to literally millions of different albums and types of music. It also makes suggestions according to what you've already listened to.

Martin Luther is pretty amazing I gotta say.
I like a lot of old school r&b/soul but my favorite song is probably on bended knee by Boyz II Men.

Imagine ( maynards version from emotive: a perfect circle)
there are four great songs. my favourite at this moment is:
Wings For Marie/ 10,000 Days (tool). one of the most emotional songs i've heard espescially knowing maynards views on god. this song is a release for maynard in dealing with his mothers death. it shows a sense of respect for his mothers faith. AMAZING!!!
