spray the exterior of your home - all cracks and especially around the overhangs and around the foundation - use a commerical bug spray - with a garden sprayer - wear a face mask, and chemical gloves, - or call a professional exterminator (they aren't that expensive) should be around $45.00 an application. Will need to spray around 3x a year. We live in an area where the spiders are a big as "buicks" He He - but spraying works. (let all the spray drip around the windows) and let it sit on the windows for a couple of days - spiders work at night - so when they come out - the spray will have a residual effect. Wash your windows about 3-5 days after they spray.

Get someone to vacuum every one they see. Pay close attention to the little "tiny balls " near the spiders. These balls are their "egg nests" you can get rid of momma, but if you don't get rid of the little balls, you'll just have more baby spiders. This may have to be done more than once. Make a nice dinner for the brave person that takes care of this AWFUL job for you.

some stores have a deal that you plug in to an electrical plug and somekind of sound wave keeps them away for up to 500ft. I not sure what it's called exactly but if you explian it to them they should know what it is called. And DON'T use a bug bomb in your house because it will leave a smell that can make you sicker then heck and you also can't be in the house for 2-4 days I think it was.

You may not be able to keep them out entirely.
BUT
You can get rid of them entirely periodically!
In the fall, Bug Bomb your house. This will kill all the insects and spiders in there and leave your house bug free all winter long once frosts set in.

The best solution I have found is Furniture Polish
yes, furniture polish spray it where ever there is a web
or where you know there will be one and the spiders can't
make webs because of the slippery surface so they will
find another area. Also make sure to remove and burn any
cocoons you find.

there is a spray that you attach to your water hose that is called svren....spray your lawn and it should take care of it...you should be able to buy it at lowes or home depot and also keep your house clean and any water sources put away...also there is sticky paper that you can buy to trap any bugs that may get into your home...
spiders are a good thing though...outside atleast...they eat other insects

Bug bomb your house. Or, get a bird to live indoors that likes to eat bugs. Cats will hunt them down too.
