This depends on what City you live in. Many municipalities have different by-laws governing tow-aways.
However, if Impark is indeed towing cars, they would be doing this under the "Law of Contract". The terms and conditions of this contract can be found on their signs, usally located near one of the meters on the lot.
One item you may find interesting though...in many Provinces, the tow company can not legally keep your car if you refuse to pay for it's release. They have not applied a lien against your vehicle, only a Sherrif can do that. If you were to site this to the tow company and then call the police, chances are you would get your vehcile and and invoice for the tow. However, to be sure, you should check with your local police first.

I have no idea...but if you're on their lot and legally paid for that time you're there, I should imagine they shouldn't be towing you anywhere. If you're in arrears for past tickets and haven't paid for today or are late getting back, you may be trespassing.

If you are parking on their property in violation of an agreement... then yes they can have your vehicle towed off of their property.

ya the only way they can tow your car is if your parked illegally or if it gets impounded from the police anything else would be illegal
