I noticed a small bump on the side of my penis. It was a very tiny hard bump. Feels like a developing pimple that does not have a head and it's very solid to the touch (no liquid or puss inside). For almost 2 weeks it was the same in size and feel. It didn't bother me or anything. I was scared at first so I looked it up online. After research, I found that it could be an ingrown hair so I left it alone. Up till a couple weeks ago (1 months after I discovered it), the bump looked almost identical (no puss or symptom of being a pimple). However, I noticed that it turned into a pimple today (1.5 months since discovery). It has a white head. I squeezed it and it popped with very little puss... like a very tiny facial pimple and even the little white looking ball that resembles a black head came out (just like on a facial pimple when you squeeze it). Should I be concerned? Could it be herpes? I have unprotected sex before with my current gf of 1 year. 7 months since that.

I would like to also add that my gf is clean. It has been about 2 months since I had sex (due to long distance relationship) The last time I did have sex, I used a condom with the gf. After I popped the pimple, it looks like any popped pimple. It's just chillin. It's red with a little broken skin where it popped. My concern is also why it took it so long to turn into a pimple?

OK, I find this site weird that it won't let me ask more question in the same thread. Anyways, thanks for all your quick comments! The thing is, my current gf is the only girl i had ever had unprotected sex with. I have never recieved head before this gf either. It is possible that she might have passed something to me. It's not possible to recieve herpes from masterbation..... It is just strange to me because the bump wasn't anything for almost 2 months. I am not having an outbreak as it is just 1 pimple. It is possible to have pimples anywhere on your body. I will definately get checked out but this is just freaking me out. Kind of came out of no where.

This doesn't really sound like herpes to me. It sounds more like an ingrown hair. You should still be concerned. Go ahead and make SURE you use protection for at least 60 days and see if you get any additional bumps. At the slightest sign of another bump, go see the doctor. He will do a visual exam and blood test to confirm. He won't be able to tell anything until there's another bump because the virus doesn't show up in your bloodstream until an outbreak. Until 60 days is over without any more incidences, do NOT potentially risk your girlfriend's health. Be smart...

I am no doctor however I would cannot one. Here is some info on herpes- The skin becomes red and sensitive, and soon afterward, one or more blisters or bumps appear. The blisters first open, and then heal as new skin tissue forms. During a first outbreak, the area is usually painful and may itch, burn or tingle. Flu-like symptoms are also common. These include swollen glands, headache, muscle ache or fever. Herpes may also infect the urethra, and urinating may cause a burning sensation

It will be better to check out with a doctor. Does your gf have any history of STD? The best way to detect herpes is to take a sample when the pimple blows up. Some recommend a blood test but it is said not to be accurate. I hope this helps.

Bro it doesn't matter if you wear a condom or not. If your partner has sores or even sometimes no signs you can get HPV just by touch. I would go get it checked. Also see about getting your GF a HPV vaccine, since that will keep you safe and prevent one of the leading causes of cancer in women. Some people experience a lot of sores and some people dont get much at all or none. If it was an ingrown hair you should be able to see the hair follicle.

I am absolutely terrified and I feel so alone. I just found out last week that I tested positive for hsv1 and 2. I have been with the same man for the past 10 years and within the last year found out that he has cheated on me with numerous women. I am so scared that I can give it to my children by kissing them and them eating with me...I feel like my whole life has changed. And even though the nurses, my doctor, and websites say that a lot of people have it I still feel like I am by myself. My self esteem has dropped and I feel like I have been used up. But now, My life is very happy.

You need to see a doctor to get a proper diagnosis. There are a number of things this could be, including human papilloma virus (which is contagious and causes cervical cancer in females), genital warts, etc. Also get a HIV/AIDs test while you are there. Unprotected sex is dangerous and could cost you your life. Is it really worth the price? Stop and think about it.
