The most important thing to fill out is the FAFSA application. You can get this from your counselor. Also, ask the counselors, or librarian, for active scholarships. From my experience, most scholarships are worthless. They want a 1000 word essay and you compete with a lot of people for $500 bucks. Usually the FAFSA+Loans will cover any Uof education and the FAFSA alone could make it for a State education. Keep in mind that your parents shouldn't be making tons of money if you want federal aid (by tons I mean over 70k together).

If you haven't already, take the PSAT/NMSQT test. Not only is it a preliminary SAT, it also is the National Merit Scholarship Qualification Test which means that based on that score, people will send you scholarships aoutomatically. FAFSA is also part of the NMS foundation. I think the next one is Oct 16th? nationwide. I'm planning to take it. But the dates may be different. Ask you HS counselor for a registration packet, they go fast!
