I found out I was pregnant August 28th and they told me I couldn't have my blood drawn for a year when I got the tattoo in the middle of July. I was wondering if the tattoo could effect the baby at all? I know it sounds like a silly question but I have asked a few people and they all say they don't know and I should ask my doctor but unfourtanley I dont see my doctor until October 2nd and thats to far away for me. I want nothing more then to have a healthy baby of course. My babys health is more important to me then anything in this world.

Your baby should be fine. The only real risk would be that you got an infection from the tatoo and passed it on. Go ahead and mention it to your doctor anyway though. If you are really worried, call the doctor's office, the nurses will be able to give you a better answer.

Well if you had gotten a disease, infection, etc of course it could harm the baby but not much you really can do about it. If everything healed well and went well with the tattoo I wouldnt worry too much about it. Just mention it to the Dr when you do go...

there is like a 2% chance that it will affect your child...i have two tatts and i've never had any complications! idk why they said you couldn't have your blood drawn for a year...you're not supposed to DONATE blood to an organization for a year! i hope i helped you a lot! if you have any more questions: mrs_blkwll042807@yahoo.com

it shouldn't. if it is on your lower back, across your spine, you might not be able to get an epidural when you have the baby.
