umm..like, why did he return to Europe or wherever?

The Native Americans, not being familiar with guns, were not familiar with how to treat the wounds they caused. Since Smith had been inadvertantly shot trying to defend the chief, he had to return to England where he could be properly attended to.

1. It was the only way he could get the help he needed (which makes NO sense because it would take him months to get back to England. By that time they got there the wound would be completely infected or worse.) I don't know how the camp got away with not having it's own doctor...

2. Because he is like mid-20s something and Pocahontas is only 14 so it would be weird if he stayed and they fell in love or something.
