Neither. Those are verbs of "being".

"Tener" es el verbo que Ud. necesita.

As in: I am 25 years old = Tengo veinticinco años.

Neither. Tener is the correct verb.

Example: Tiene 12 anos. Tengo 12 anos. Tenemos 12 anos. Tienen 12 anos. Tendremos 12 anos.

It's "tener". Cuantos anos tiene? Yo tengo trenta y cinco anos.

In Spanish you "have" years. In English you "are" years of age, or years old.

tener- You aren't so many years old. In spanish you have years. So I would say Yo tengo 22 anos.

I think its tener.
"Tengo cinco anos" would translate as I have 5 yrs,
but I think that's how you say it.
