Well i compleately agree with you lacrosse is the greatest sport known to mankind, and hockey is the most exciting sport to watch, with all the hitting and whatnot.

My favourite sport to play is football (soccer) because all it takes is space and a ball. It is THE international sport.
My favourite sport to watch is SUMO. I live in Japan, and although most people would never believe me, sumo wrestlers are among the strongest AND most flexible athelites in the world. Underneath all that fat (and they aren't all fat), is muscle and lots of it. A famous former grand champion (yokozuna), Chiyo-no-fuji was extremely slim and very muscular. Sumo tournaments last 15 days at a time, and are held every second month, so when they aren't wrestling they are training. It is a very demanding sport.
Sumo is fast paced. Since all westlers must wear a standard mawashi (belt) and little else, their athleticism really stands out.
Sumo is of course, Japan's traditional sport, and although there are lots of foreigners competing in professional sumo, all must conform to the standard life of a japanese sumo wrestler - living with other wrestlers in their "stable" or club, speaking japanese, cooking and cleaning, etc.
watching sumo has helped me learn much about japanese culture, and it is so damn exciting.
