ever since i became pregnant, me and my fiance cannot have sex as long as we used to because it gets sore down there faster. Is this normal? And if it is what causes it?

Yup, it's normal. It's typically caused by your entire pelvic area being inflamed due to pregnancy. There's a lot of blood flowing to the lower half of your body and it causes your genitals to become engorged. You could try using a lubricant of some kind (we prefer AstroGlide) or using a cold pack on your genitals to help reduce the swelling before sex. If you're planning on having sex, try to stay off your feet for awhile before hand, monitor your salt intake, drink lots of water, and only do what is comfortable for you. If it's becoming a problem, there are other ways to pleasure each other without having to have actual intercourse. Good luck honey!

I had the same problem when I was pregnant all 4 times. Its the change in your hormones that causes it. Keep your self hydrated and that will help or you can use a water based lubricant. Some times thats all that would work for me.

Make sure you lube it up good and also try positions where you can control the position and depth of penitration. Your cervix is VERY sinsitve right now. Also increased blood flow causes greater sinsitivity and swelling which can irrate you faster than normal.

one of the things that happen when you are pregnant is that the blood flow increases. This means that everything has more blood and is swollen, and can definitely be more sensitive.

it's normal, you have a higher flow of blood to that area, and it makes it over stimulated during sex, causing it to be painful

I'd talk to your doctor but you my need to use something like KY jelly or something like that. It may get better as the pregnacy goes a long.

OMG....THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING TO ME...I'M PRETTY SURE ITS BECAUSE WHEN YOUR PREGNANT YOU "ARE" BECAUSE MORE SWOLLEN AND LARGER DUE TO YOU HORMONE CHANGES. IT SUCKS BECAUSE I WANT TO MAKE LOVE TO MY HUSBAND BUT WHEN WE DO I FEEL SORE...MY OB/GYN TOLD ME USE LOTS OF LUBRICATION AND THATS ABOUT ALL I CAN DO....GOOD LUCK!
