I moved out of Glendale two and a half years ago. The crime in the area around GCC got so bad that even the police avoid the area. All the mayor and the city council were interested in was expanding and drawing more and more business. Well they got the hockey arena and a stadium visible 20 miles away and a population of well over 300,000,000. and still growing. I hope they are happy. Now when I travel across the valley I have slow down in Glendale, not because it's your town, but because the traffic is so thick. There is no other town in the Valley of the Sun with such a traffic problem, even down town Phoenix.

I lived in Glendale when I first moved here.. hated it.. the traffic was horrible, parts of Glendale are really nice but I would never again live on the West side.. or Avenues is what we call Glendale. I prefer the Streets.. North Central Phoenix.

Yes, I live in Phoenix, about 1/2 mile from where Glendale starts and drive through there on a regular basis. Nice town, my favorite is Cerreta's Chocolate.

I used to live at 51st Ave / Northern but I didn't like the area. There are some really nice areas in Glendale, but you also have the bad parts. That goes for any city though. Check out the Shish Kabob House on 51st Ave / Olive. They have really good Gyro and Hummus and their basmati rice is tasty.

I have no idea what the person is talking about in regards to all the crime around GCC. I live practically across the street from Saguaro Ranch Park. It's such a beautiful, family friendly neighborhood. I'd never live anywhere else!
