Yes you can. That's why when you skip 2 pills you are supposed to use alternative methods of birth control for 7 days, because you can ovulate when missing 2 or more pills. I got pregnant the first month off the pill.

You can still ovulate even when you are on the pill. Most of the time... birth control pills usually change your cervix so that way it's difficult for the sperm to reach the egg. Very few women actually do get pregnant when on the pills... not everything is 100% effective. Every woman is different... so you could get pregnant right away after discontinuing the pills... or it could take you a few months. It all just depends on your body. I would try talking to your gynecologist. I hope this helps. Good luck!!

Two of my friends got pregnant after ending the month prior. One of them was on the pill for 5 years and she's expecting her new son in November. I've been on the pill for 7 months and am trying this month so I hope you can ovulate, sounds like its possible. Good Luck!

i've read up on it and don't get your hopes up in the first 3 months or so... yes you ovulate but it takes a while for the pill to get out of your system... i've read that your chances are 25% in the first month after getting off birth control... i don't want to hurt your feelings or make you less excited... i had and still am going through it... i have been off a month and a half and i can't wait... its hard... but just be patient... God will let it happen when it is supposed to happen!! Have fun trying in the mean time!!
God Bless

After infertility problems, and needing to take fertility drugs and iui with a successful pregnancy, and on my daughters first Birthday, I decided she needed a sibling. I stopped the pill that night, and I went to see my infertility doctor the following week to discuss our future plans. He gave me a script for blood work that I was supposed to use on the third day of menstuation, but my period never came, I started to get worried while waiting so long for it to start. I finally decided to take a home pregnancy test, and ii was pregnant! Could not
