The GOP admit to mistakes? Are you kidding? That will never happen. Chart a new course? They are on the course they want, I doubt they will flip-flop now. They are mired much too deep into this situation to jump ship. BTW, more mistakes have been made regarding Iraq, Katrina, domestic issues, but they won't change their stance on those issues either.

War is full of mistakes because there is no pre-arranged script for what the enemy will do. The motto is 'adapt and overcome', not 'make a plan and stick to it'. Duh.

I am PROUD that our nation did not focus on the mistakes made in Normandy while the war was on. They focused on the victory - which gave our people the morale to win.

Focusing on mistakes is demoralizing, which is why Lefitsts like to do that to us. Meanwhile, those intent on winning focus on what needs to be done to defeat the enemy. Which they are. Nailed a whole BUNCH of Taliban this past week. Building schools to educate the people of Afghanistan. Teaching something more useful and productive than Koran to the young men. Set up a 'free speech' radio station so Afghans can shake off oppression of opinion...

Progress is being made. It's just a matter of improving the culture and that will take decades.

There are indeed many mistakes made in war. He who makes the fewest usually wins. I don't think President Bush can admit when he's wrong. It would make him appear fallible. And we can't have any of that. After all, God tells George what to do - and God certainly can't be wrong.

Bush and company are so arrogant that they will never admit their mistakes.
