You are correct that low and hard is not the "ideal" condition for you to conceive...But that doesn't mean you will not get pregnant. Sperm can live for up to 5 days inside of your body. If you are trying to conceive, then you need to know when you ovulate. To find out when your ovulation occurs u can take your basal body temp each morning(same time)before you get out of bed, also using ovulation prediction kits will give you a ball park time to shoot for. I am in the process of trying for #2 and I use a wonderful website called Fertilityfriend.com, this is the best site I have found and it is so informative. It will graph your temps for you, tell you when you ovulate, record your cervical mucous, cervix position, sign..and anything else you will need!! Best of all, it's FREE! I wish you lots of babydust and luck!!! If I can be of any more help please let me know!

I will tell you like I recently told my oldest daughter, who had the same problem and did conceive after 7 years of trying. Put your leggs high in the air as you can get them, so the man can have a better chance of alloying the sperm to travel down the cervix and enjoy the loving. Give your husband the chance to appreciate you and make love, not have sex for the shake of having a child. You will relax and enjoy and so will he. I also had the same problem. Stop thinking about ovulating, if it's in the cards for you to have a baby, you will. Start letting yourself be appreciated for being a woman and enjoy sex with a man, that is all it takes. Think of yourself as being a queen and the man enjoys every inch of you. Good Luck, I'm a very happy expecting grandmother for the first time, and boy am I having fun buying things for my new family member to be.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

All you really need to be concerned about is when you're fertile. Sperm delivered primarily by intercourse will likely find the egg, fertilize it and conception is complete. Be advised that sperm can last for days in your reproductive system - with a clear purpose of finding the egg.

There isn't much I can add that Kelley hasn't already said except that stress and worrying about it too much can actually make it harder. Taking basal temp and finding when you ovulate is very helpful, but being relaxed and in good health are important too. It seems that the more you worry about trying, the harder it is to work. And if you are both willing and able to try - things should work out.
