I have. My family and I live in a old farm house built in 1848. The original owner and builder of the home was a gambler and gambled most of his life's earnings away before finishing the house. His brother finished the home and let him live in it until his death in the 1880s when he died on alcohol poisoning. We have a picture of him and one night about 2 years ago I was coming down the stairs in the main quarters of the home when at the bottom of the stairs I was a man standing at the front door. He was faded, and wearing an old suit jacket and glasses. His face was long, with a beard and mustache. In his hand was a bottle (which looked to be an old whisk bottle). I stood in the middle of the stairway for about a minute. He looked at me, grin and nodded, then vanished through the front door. I had never seen the picture of the owner before that event, and when I told my father about it, he dug up the picture and it was the exact figure that I saw at the door. But we never saw he again. We believe that he repapered only to show that his spirit was leaving the home in peace.
My father had a similar experience when him and my mom first moved into the house after my great-grandmother died (it was her home before the moved in). In the middle of the night, when my dad was getting ready for work, he saw her in their bedroom by her old rocker. My dad said 'she stood there smiling and nodding her head, as if she approved of us being there. Then she vanished into the dark.' That was the last time he saw her.
My family and I still believe that spirits of those that have died here still remain. One of those spirits is that of my great-grandfather's, he died in the home in 1971 of a heart attack, another is of a young girl who died of scarlet fever in the early 1900s, every once in a while you can hear a young child laugh or the sounds of one running up and down the staircase. But they have always been friendly to us, and we will never leave the home.

I lived in a group home as manager for ten years and there was a resident ghost that several staff members and some residents saw many times. It was a tall, slim figure of irridescent color with no features and would walk down the hall and then vanish through a wall. It often displayed displeasure by causing things to fly off shelves; it would leave a shadow; clear its throat; and once shook a bed up and down while a resident was sleeping. Even my dog saw it several times. On two occasions it flew through the air with the sound of fluttering wings and landed with a thud on my pillow. Another staff person had the same experience. It was quite interesting and frightened a few people. It cast a shadow in the laundry room late one night, causing the night supervisor to splash bleach in her eyes. I lost more than one staff person due to fear of the ghost.
Additional story: I live in southern Tennessee and near here is a place known as the Chapel Hill Lights. The story is that a watchman on a lonely stretch of railroad track was hit by a train one foggy night and that he can be seen walking the track with a lantern, looking for his head. I have been to that crossing late at night on several occasions and you can see a dim light swaying back and forth and coming closer and closer. I have seen it coming toward people standing on the tracks and actually just walk right through them. For the only time in his seventeen years, my cocker spaniel refused to get out of the car with me and laid in the back window and growled. It's a very interesting spot to visit.

I have never seen a ghost, but I've heard from close friends and family who have seen the ghost of a relative shortly after they died. A close friend in high school died in a river boating accident. His ghost was seen walking on a bridge at night...the same bridge where they found his body. My grandma said she saw my grandpa walking in their barnyard after he died. This ghost was in broad daylight. After my dad died, my mom said she saw my dad walking down by the river which flows in front of our home. It was my dad's favorite way of relaxing after a stressful day. All these people were very believable. It was not scary to them, but comforting.

She looked like a transparent person but glowing slightly. She haunted a bar where her sister worked. From what I remembered hearing she liked to appear to the older men while they were using the washroom. Sort of like the movie Harry Potter. I guess you might compare it to a projector light but the person is the light you are seeing. There are some similar photo's on this first site. The second is of some alleged video's.
