Like a black woman marrying a white man, or a muslim marrying a French man.....the reason why I ask is because I was thinking about my mom's boss and his customs where he comes from. He came here from India, and they still have arranged marriages and it would be HIGHLY frowned upon if a person in their family married outside their race. So, anybody else's family like that?

"Hey How Are Ya"....sadly, some people in my family would mind, on my mom's side anyway..I don't think anybody on my dads side would. I doubt my uncles would even come to the wedding :( But I wouldn't care if they were there or not, what is important is that I'm marrying the guy I love no matter what the race.

My Mam would not mind as long as I was happy and he was treating me and my daughter right.
But I bet my Dad would have something to say, not that he has a place to living with his bit on the side for the last 17 years whilst still married to my mother and now they have 3 little kids.

My family would not like the different cultures I've been involved with, such as a Muslim man and a Hindu man...I also once got involved with an East Indian who was commonly mistaken for black...he was Christian but still my family doesn't want me to be with anyone unless they are white, and my mother especially wants me to get with a man who specifically has BLUE EYES...well, I hate blue eyes and don't particularly care for my own race, as I've not had any good experiences with white guys. However, if I had to pick between marrying a different guy and being with my family, I'd marry the guy and distance myself from the family.

They wouldn't like it at all. I'm forbidden to marry anyone outside of my own heritage (Native American).
I don't care. But then again I do, because some families my parents are friends with do arranged marriages, and they're American Christians.
But I'm still marrying whoever I love. No matter what.

Probably not. But with time there could be a possibility for acceptance.
But speaking for those who want to, who cares what they think? You gotta do what is going to make you happy. That's the one thing people seem to forget. In the end, that's all that really matters. Who wants to look back and go, damn I should have done that?

My family wouldn't give a rats a s s what I did. They are all selfish and caught up in their own lives. I could marry a member of the taliban tomorrow and they wouldn't even care!

I wouldn't mind doing it. I would marry a white guy, a black guy, a Latin guy, as long as I'm in love. I'm already mixed, and there is nothing wrong with me. If my mom and dad weren't together, I wouldn't be here, so I don't believe in those stupid color restrictions, and I never understood them...

Not mine. We have all kind of people in our family. Schizophrenics, manic depressants, murderers... Oh, my bad, you were talking about color! Just kidding about that. But seriously, my family is all mixed up. My sister has a Korean boyfriend my other sister has a German husband. I like Puerto Ricans. We had an Irish grandmother, and Cherokee great grandmother, so no, I can't say that my family is like that.

My daughter is happily married to a black man and they gave me a beautiful grandson. I don't care what color the person is as long as they treat one another with respect and love each other.

my family would not mind, we welcome it in our home,
my boys are white and if they decide to choose a girl a different racist I would jut love it, Its not the skin color that I worry about, it is the attitude and behavior of the person is what I worry most about. Along as the person is treating you right then I see no problem with mix marriage.
Good Luck
