can you read the words i write?
do you feel them as deeply as i do?
some are published, some are in cards,
this one i have written for you.

Some times i hide my words,
and read them again years away
and i remember the feelings my words held
and relive the moment, emotion, or entire day

most times i realize
that my rhyming stinks
lol...and it was a huge waste
of time and ink!!!

I'm both a poet and a writer. I'm also a proofreader, copy editor, editor and bilingual educational publishing consultant. When I'm paid by publishers to write, I don't feel like the work really belongs to me in the first place, so I have no attachment issues.

When I use pen and paper, I tend to destroy everything once I've thus expunged it from my consciousness. The typed stuff tends to get saved. A few close friends (and fellow editors) are kind enough to read my original work when asked.

I've been writing poems sense I can remember...my first one I that I can remember was when I was 8, I think. I'm also in the middle of my first book, and so far I think its pretty good. But, the thing with me is that when it comes time to show somebody my work I suddenly see all these improvements that I can make. So, no I usually don't let people see my work until I'm sure its perfect, and even then its usually only my mom or my granny (depending on what it is about).

I'm both, currently I am hiding my first collection of poetry because it's not copyrighted yet and I'd hate for it to fall into the wrong hands. I do write things that I let others read, I just recently wrote an essay that was published in a Florida Newspaper and everyone in town is talking about it. I'm kind of shy about my writing though, I just like to let the writing itself do the talking and I don't have much left to say about it. My writing speaks for itself.

I am a published poet, so yes I allow people to read some of my poetry. I also write, and am looking forward to finishing a few projects that I started last winter.

I am a writer, a wannabe novelist. I let one person read my stuff but it is mostly just for me. It is fun and silly, just snippets of future possible novels. At this point I am in such a good place that i don't want to open myself to unnecessary criticism.

I've been writing a lot of poems lately. I let people see them sometimes, but there are some that are personal, and that only I can understand...
