I guess it really depends on the type of business.

If you have a good chunk of capital dedicated to advertising, you could invest in a TV or Radio commercial.

The cheap way would be to write some useful articles about what you sell and some press releases and promte them on the web. This isn't going to work for every business, but should work for most.

It depends on the business and who and where your prospective clients will be. What type of business? I am 27yrs old and have owned my own business for 6 yrs. depends on target audience desired and budget. need more info but if budget will allow it try to reach as broad an audience as you can afford and have a plan or ad schedule one time ads are not that effective
