If you can't talk to her about something like this, then you shouldn't be marrying her, even if it is in the far future. Get it out of the way now, who knows, maybe she feels the same way.
Good luck

Yes. Smashing cake at the wedding is trashy and ruins expensive outfits. If you are usually a lenient guy who isn't exactly into class, you may need to tell her not to smash the cake in your face. If the refusal to not smash cake is right up your alley your future wife will probably also agree on the trashiness of it.

Its not weird. Woman commonly think of their weddings before they even have a prospect. Its more rare from men, but it can happen too.
My husband and I talked about everything before we got married. We discussed who would do the dishes, cooking, taking out the trash, going out with friends, all the way down to not smashing cake.
I find cake smashing very rude and unromantic, he agreed!
The key to a good marriage, is good communication. We have been married for six and half years, and have had a handful of arguments. We could not be more happy.

If it's really going to bother you, definitely say something before the wedding. It really isn't a big deal, so your future wife shouldn't have a problem delicately placing a piece of cake in your mouth rather then smashing it all over your chin.

If you are not planning on getting married any time soon, why are you even stressing about this. Anyway its just a silly little thing that some people do, it washes off and if something like that would piss you off, you must be a maniac when it comes to other things. Maybe you need to take a chill pill.

I would tell her how you feel. If she really loves you, she will respect your wishes. Besides it is bad carma to get your cake smashed in your face. All of my friends who did that ended up getting a divorce latter on.

My wife and I agreed that although we believed in traditions, cake fash painting was just plain stupid....just talk about it once you are engaged. Don't go overboard with it, because if you get phobic about it, you are going to be a target for fun.

It would be at the reception that that would probably happen, not on your wedding night. :)
It's a low-class, tasteless tradition that should be abolished. You're right to worry. I'd make her sign a contract saying she won't do it.
