Well the tango is Argentinan and the flamenco is Spanish(Spain). The beat is very different. You can see some examples of couples dancing this on youtube.com
Flamenco has a lot of hand movements and is usually accompanied by the clapping of the audience. It can also be danced without a partner and women will usually use the castanets. They also tend to have a type of tapping movements included.
Tango is a partner dance. It include a lot of sliding movements and most of the time the male will support the female creating an illusion of carrying her like a puppet. Tango's concentration is on the feet while Flamenco is the hands.
Hope to have helped.

Flamenco is Spanish, Tango is Latino (central-American). Both emphasize dancing from the heart rather than just doing the steps, and both are thought to be very spiritual and moving.
Flamenco is often about very sad songs- (the faces made during the dance are like suffering), while the Tango is more about celebration!

Salsa is not one of the competed ballroom/Latin dances, but it is latin. Tango, despite its origins in Buenos Aires and Montevideo, is not a latin dance. This will actually even make sense to you eventually, but that's quite a few lessons in your future. The music, the tempo, the feel, everything about them is quite distinct. Rather than worrying overly much about it, you should be patient and let the lessons come to you. You'll start with some basic patterns that are starkly different, and later you'll be able to use elements that are common to all the partner dances and still put the character of the individual dance into the element.
