Hey, you have to be real, sometimes work comes first and sometimes a trip is important and a have too. It doesnt mean he dont love you. I had to work on my GF's Bday, and that money is what I use to buy her gifts and stuff.
Give the guy a break, working or taking a trip dont mean he dont love you.

Oh, boy. He may still love you, but he should never forget your birthday... That's definately one of the worst things any guy could do to me.

it really has nothing to do with love, its really bad that he forgot it, but I don't know how long you two have been together, maybe its just something new in which case its not that bad, but still I would be upset as well.
