Does it just mean being a female? Or does it just mean being sensitive about things? Does it mean you get your feelings hurt very easily? I get my feelings hurt too easily, and I dont really like hanging around with guys. I like being with girls mostly. But I am happily married and have been for almost 7 years. I just don't understand why I feel like I can't talk or act like other guys, and that I can't really indentify with them. Im not gay at all. And I'm not unhappy with who I am, I just feel out of place a lot of times.

Some personality types are classified as more "feminine", such as compassion, empathy, artistic sensibility....
But, just because you have those qualities, doesn't make you female. Lots of women (including me) have "masculine" qualities- objectivity, reliance on logic, less tact... that doesn't make us male either.
And possessing qualities of the opposite gender doesn't make you gay- two different things.

That's not feminine. That is sensitivity and I think it is a wonderful quality in a man. My son is also sensitive, and always has been, even as a baby. Being feminine is about things that are generally associated with women. So, though some men may consider sensitivity a feminine quality, I disagree. I think more men are sensitive then you realize, they are just good at hiding it because of the perception that it is not "manly". Don't fall into that trap. I'll bet your wife loves and appreciates your sensitivity.

may b u r like this, coz u have grow up in a females company.may b u were pampered alot and were surroended by mainly females.thats the reason y u feel comfortable more with females rather than males.its natural that we accquire the qualities of those with whom we spend most of our time.its the same with girls at times.if they are grown up in boys company then they too tend to develop boyish qualities and become less feminine and tomboy sort.
well feminine is not just being female.one should have all those qualities as well like grace, emotions ,strength to bear, act wisely,a little bit of shyness as well, feminine behaviours, and many more to a never ending list.

Everyone falls somewhere on a continuum of stereotypical male traits and stereotypical female traits. It doesn't really mean that you're "feminine" just because you have some traits that are generally associated with females. I have the same situation. I'm female, but I don't really relate as well to my female friends as I do my male friends. My girlfriends just want to sit around and talk about their feelings, and it bores me to tears !! But I don't think of myself as being "masculine" just because I'd rather talk about sports or current events than my innermost feelings :) So cut yourself some slack....you're FINE !

feminine is the opposite of masculine.
that's why men and women are attracted to each other.
they have opposite physical and behavioral tendencies.
it's fine if you are feminine, all men have some feminine qualities, but if you cry continuously in front of a woman and get hurt at every little thing, the chance is that 90% of women would not be attracted to you sexually. just as you would not be attracted to a woman that is masculine and never cries or get hurt.

As the other person said, look at your family background and your birth order. Don't be afraid to be yourself. Since men have the power in our society, you may need to put in some time relating to them, not because you like them, but because they have access to power. There's nothing wrong with that---everyone has to do this.
I'm a woman, and I love being around and talking to women---some women can't STAND other women, and much prefer men, if they have a choice.

so you have feminine qualities, we all do. It may have been because of your upbringing being around women all of the time makes you act and feel comfortable with women. On the other hand your brain could me wired more like women or your body may produce more hormones then a normal male.

Hey, just hang out with who you are comfortable with.
You are you. there is only one you on this planet.
I am happily married, I don't hang out with the guys any more.
It's just something that happened.
I drive my two young girls to school everyday, to dance practice twice a week, and soon there will be girl scouts.
Not by choice but hey I am enjoying the life I have been thrown into.
I used to hang with the guys, and I got down and dirty, but I grew up.
