All forms of electromagnetic radiation, such as X-rays, gamma rays, radio waves, microwaves, and oh yeah those little light photon wave thingies too, travel at approx 300,000 km/s in a vacuum. Usually in equations, this value for the speed of light --i.e. electromagnetic radiation--is repesented by "c" as in E=mc^2.
Oh yeah, and only a massless "particle" can travel at c. Anything with mass cannot. Photons are what are referred to as quanta of light. Photons have no mass, only quanta of energy. So, yes, they are like Spock said and the song made popular: "Pure energy"
