hard to say since he only played one injury plagued year in the Big10. the potential was there but how many times have we seen that wasted in sports? dontonio wingfield, reggie rembert, lawrence phillips, etc... the hardest thing to remember w/ these guys is that despite their size and talent, they're still kids, and w/o someone guiding them to make the correct decisions, they're going to make mistakes. some more costly than others. i pray that maurice gets his life in order and he can worry about football (if that ever does happen) afterwards.

If he would have not gone into trouble like right now. He would have a better career, but at this stage the answer is no.

He played in the NFL, but he got cut from the Denver Broncos. I thinking Ron Dayne would have the best career in the NFL than Maurice Clarett.

I think he would have been a very good NFL running back, had he done all of the things you listed. First of all, he probably would have gained more speed, as he was only a teenager when he played. He was a great athlete, and you may remember he wanted to play some linebacker his second year before he was suspended.

If he had not been ruled ineligible to play, and had stayed on the team, he would have developed as a football player, and person, developed a better work ethic, and not hung around so many losers. The only question is, would he have had problems anyway? Did he have psychological issues that would have derailed him? I like to think he would have been a good player.

Duaner kiss my A-S-S he had all the talent in the world , but he made bad decisions and since he did play for OHIO STATE they had enough sack to punish him for those bad decisions , they did not keep him around like some schools would have , I wont name names but one school starts with a " N " and ends in " A" and also another that is in Florida that will remain nameless but I think they just dropped out of the top 25 , bottom line is it all falls on him not the school he had it all and probably would have been a decent NFL player but he just blew it !
